DBDON, ATC and ProFuturo Strengthen Partnership
March 20th, 2025. Ruben Centre. In a significant show of collaboration and commitment to education, DBDON, ATC Kenya, and ProFuturo held their annual partnership meeting at Don Bosco Ruben in Nairobi. The meeting brought together representatives from all three organizations, reaffirming their shared mission to empower learners through digital education.
Don Bosco Ruben, a vibrant educational hub serving over 4,000 pupils, has emerged as a shining example of how strategic partnerships can transform learning environments. Through the collaborative efforts of DBDON, ATC Kenya, and ProFuturo, the school has been equipped with digital tools that enhance teaching and learning across all grades.
ATC Kenya, a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure, has played a key role in this transformation by supporting the acquisition of digital learning equipment, including tablets and laptops. Their commitment to corporate social responsibility goes beyond connectivity, extending to investing in communities where they operate. This partnership ensures that learners at Don Bosco Ruben can access the digital resources they need to thrive in a modern learning environment.
ProFuturo, an international education initiative that promotes digital education in vulnerable communities, brings its expertise in teacher training and curriculum development to the table. Through ProFuturo’s structured programs, teachers at Don Bosco Ruben have been trained to integrate technology effectively into their lessons, fostering interactive and engaging learning experiences.
DBDON, as the coordinating body, ensures that the partnership aligns with the school’s needs while staying true to its mission of empowering youth through education. By overseeing the implementation of digital literacy initiatives and facilitating ongoing support, DBDON acts as the vital link between technology providers, education experts, and the local community.
During the meeting, participants reflected on the achievements of the past year and mapped out strategies to deepen the impact of their collaboration. Discussions focused on scaling digital access, supporting teachers, and expanding resources to reach even more learners. The commitment to ensuring that every student—regardless of background—has the opportunity to benefit from digital learning was a shared priority.
As the partnership continues to grow, the collaboration between DBDON, ATC Kenya, and ProFuturo stands as a powerful example of how cross-sector alliances can drive positive change in education. With over 4,000 learners already benefiting from digital resources and teacher support, Don Bosco Ruben is a testament to what can be achieved when organizations come together with a common purpose.
