DBDON Empowers Entrepreneurs Through ILO Training
The International Labour Organization (ILO) Generate Your Business Idea (GYB) training concluded in Embu, marking the successful completion of a three-day intensive entrepreneurship development program. The training brought together a dynamic group of participants eager to transform their innovative ideas into viable business ventures.
Facilitated and coordinated by Irene Waweru and John Mwaniki, the program provided practical guidance on identifying business opportunities, assessing market potential, evaluating resources, and developing structured business plans. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, group discussions, and real-world exercises that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Throughout the three days, the learners demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment as they refined their business ideas and gained valuable insights into entrepreneurship. The sessions emphasized the importance of aligning passion with opportunity, managing risks, and building sustainable enterprises that contribute to community development.
By the end of the training, participants not only walked away with enhanced knowledge but also the confidence and tools to start and manage their own businesses. The Embu GYB program stands as a testament to ILO’s continued effort to empower individuals through skills development, innovation, and enterprise creation—laying the groundwork for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
