DBDON distributes ProFuturo Headphones to Schools
March 27th, 2025, Don Bosco Boys Nairobi. In an effort to enrich digital learning experiences, DBDON has embarked on distributing headphones to schools supported by the ProFuturo program. These headphones are enhancing learners’ engagement with digital content—especially videos and audio resources—helping to create more focused and effective classroom environments.
Michael Njeru from DBDON has been at the forefront of this initiative, delivering headphones to various institutions across Nairobi and beyond. His visits to schools have not only ensured the smooth distribution of these devices but also allowed him to interact with educators and learners, offering practical guidance on integrating headphones into daily lessons.
At schools like Don Bosco Ruben, where over 4,000 learners benefit from digital education through the ProFuturo program, the addition of headphones is making a tangible difference. Teachers report that students can now better concentrate on digital lessons without being distracted by background noise, allowing for more meaningful learning experiences.
This initiative is a testament to the partnership between DBDON, ATC Kenya, and ProFuturo, which has been working to bridge the digital divide and bring quality education to underserved communities. With ATC Kenya supporting the provision of digital learning equipment and ProFuturo offering digital resources and training, the addition of headphones represents a thoughtful response to real classroom needs.
As Michael Njeru noted during one of his deliveries, “These headphones are more than just equipment—they’re a bridge to clearer communication, better comprehension, and a more inclusive digital classroom.”
DBDON’s commitment to supporting schools with both technology and training reflects its broader mission to empower youth through education. With the continued collaboration of ATC Kenya and ProFuturo, learners across Kenya are being equipped with the tools they need to succeed in the 21st-century classroom.
