Today, the Don Bosco Development Office of Nairobi (DBDON) held the launch of the Don Bosco Integral Ecology Plan, a step inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’, which calls us to care for our common home through integral ecology — uniting social, environmental, and spiritual responsibility.
The day began with prayer and reflection, followed by a rich presentation by Fr. (Dr.) Sahaya G. Selvam SDB, Executive Director of DBDON, who outlined the Integral Ecology Plan Phase 1, linking Don Bosco’s mission with sustainable development and ecological awareness.
In attendance were key collaborators and partners, including Don Bosco Tech Africa, representatives from DBTech, Verst Carbon, Weee Centre, and other organizations committed to environmental justice and youth empowerment.
Through this initiative, Don Bosco institutions reaffirm their mission of forming young people who not only excel in skills but also become guardians of creation, echoing the spirit of Laudato Si’.
