Profuturo Equipment Distribution In Machakos, Kenya

In a significant step towards advancing digital education, DBDON, in partnership with ProFuturo and ATC Kenya, recently distributed essential e-learning equipment to 24 schools across Nairobi and Machakos counties in Kenya. This initiative, which took place between 3rd and 11th July 2024, is part of a broader effort to empower students and teachers with the tools needed to thrive in the modern digital landscape.

The distribution included a total of 1,379 tablets for students, 41 laptops for teachers and 27 routers to facilitate internet access ensuring that both students and educators have the necessary resources to engage in effective online learning. A total of 15 schools in Nairobi and 9 schools in Machakos benefitted from the distribution this year.

The primary aim of this project is to promote digital education and ensure that learners in these regions are not left behind as the world increasingly moves towards technology-driven learning environments. By providing these tools, DBDON, ProFuturo and ATC Kenya are equipping schools with the infrastructure needed to integrate digital education into their curricula ultimately enhancing the quality of education and expanding access to learning opportunities.

This initiative reflects the shared vision of the partners to foster educational equity and to empower the next generation with the skills and knowledge required in the digital age. As the program progresses, it is expected that the impact will be felt not only in the classroom but also in the wider community as students become more adept at using technology in their daily lives.

DBDON remains committed to supporting digital education initiatives in Kenya and beyond with plans to expand similar projects to more schools in the future.
