Don Bosco Technical Institute Marsabit
It’s situated in Marsabit county, northern part of Kenya, one kilometer from Marsabit town. This is an area habited by pastoralist’s communities of Borana, Rendile, Gabra, Burji and Samburu descent.  It occupies 5 hectares of land.

In 1983, the Salesians, realising the need for training young people between the ages 18-22 years began a survey that led to management of the school to help the local nomadic community by introducing them to formal education, and looking for possible ways in transforming their nomadic life pattern to a stable way of living through offering technical skills.

The technical school offers seven (7) trades which include; welding, motor vehicle mechanic, masonry, secretarial and computer packages, hair dressing and dress making.  With an increasing marketing strategy within the locality, the school has made a significant improvement towards enrollment for different trades.
