The ProFuturo digital education programme, through partnership with the Don Bosco Development Outreach Network (DBDON), offers pupils a quality digital education adapted to the local educational curriculum. The aim is to promote the development of 21st century skills to enable teachers and students to meet the challenges of the digital era.
The joint project also aims to engage the community in the importance of providing quality digital education for children.

In Kenya, ProFuturo has presence in two areas, Nairobi and Machakos with 37 schools serving 11,319 children with IT infrastructure to integrate use of technology in classroom lessons. A total of 3,170 tablets, 88 laptops,88 projectors and routers have been distributed to the schools, while 436 teaching staff have been taken through professional development and digital training sessions as Trainers of Trainers (TOTs) to be able to support the children with the gadgets


ProFuturo continues to narrow the education gap in the Kenya by improving the quality of education of thousands of children through technology in Nairobi and Machakos.

We at DBDON, implements a Digital Education Programme that, through innovative digital teaching-learning experiences, enhances teachers pedagogical and digital skills, and meaningful student learning.



It addresses key factors that contribute to the quality of education such as: teacher´s professional development, educational assistance and technical support, a digital solution, a monitoring and evaluation system and a knowledge exchange community
