Don Bosco Kakuma

The Salesians of Don Bosco East Africa Province (AFE) have been operating in East Africa since 1980, namely in Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, and South Sudan. Sudan and South Sudan together is a semi-independent entity of the Province.

To date there are 28 institutions in the Province. These institutions serve the youth through various activities such as technical    schools, secondary schools, parishes, youth centers and refugees in Kakuma refugee camp.

In Kakuma, Salesians of Don Bosco are present through the Don Bosco Vocational training Centers (4), Holy Cross Parish, Don    Bosco Youth Centre, and Savio Club for the refugee and host community population of this area. Here we are collaborating with the    Department of Refugee Affairs – Government of Kenya (DRA), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Diocese of Lodwar (DOL), and other agencies involved in offering services to the needy people of the refugee camp and around.
